The rehearsal after each gig we like to get together and watch the tape from the show so we can critique it, make fun of ourselves and see how we did in general. We never got to do it for the B&N gig in June, so last night I went over to Jenn's and we watched both the B&N show and the MarVell one from last week.  The show at B&N, ehhh, it was OK.  Some good moments.  Matte Kudasai sounded good except that I cut the song short.  We discussed some points about performing and stage presence and all that.  The MarVell show turned out to actually be pretty good.  Yes, the idiot-noise coming from the bar was pretty loud, but we still played well.  We both agreed that all 5 of the songs should go up on the website.  Overall the video showed we were better than my post-gig reaction made us out to be.  That's good.

After the PM we put in video of Jenn and her friend Ember playing songs together (and for each other) back in 2002.  I've seen this footage before, years ago, so it was nice to watch it again.  FYI, Ember and Jenn wrote Abused's Song together, in addition to numerous other songs.  One of the tunes they played on the video was called August.  After about 30 seconds I thought how cool of a song it was and how it'd sound great in PM.  I really like it and Jenn agreed that it'd be fun to do in the band.  It shouldn't be too hard for us to get the song down.  We're going to work on it Tuesday night.  If she can find the chords, I hope to have it my part ready by then.  It's a really cool track and I can't wait to get it in the set.
