Practice & Mixing 7-29-08
Ah, good day yesterday.  Jenn quit her horrible, soul-sucking day job and I am immensely proud of her for getting a job in publishing.  It sucks that we can't be making money from the music right now, so if we have to work day jobs, we should definitely do stuff we ENJOY.

Good practice last night.  Dropped one song from tonight's set for time constraints.  No big deal.  Ran through the set, everything sounds good.  I'm psyched for tonight.  Rest of the playing time was spent running through most of the rest of our songs (even the forgotten Snow, which we haven't played since the last MarVell show), as well as Discovery.  Every time we play that I can't wait to play it live.  Alllllmost there.

After the departure of The Voice, I went back to mixing with the intention of finishing.  Jenn liked the instrumental mix on Surrounded, so I spent a few hours getting the vocals right (yes, my voice graces the recording as well) before exporting the final stereo master at 12:27 am.  Fuck yeah, I say.  I'm really happy to have it finished, as it was a big stress on me, but I'm also happy with the way it turned out.  I think it sounds good; it's a million times better than the last demo.  Today I posted the tracks to the myspace so now anyone can download them if they want.

Gig tonight, so knowing me I'll post later about how it goes.

Current Music: currently Van Halen - Pleasure Dome (wow these lyrics are dumb!)
